Delhi – Agra – Jaipur (5 nights / 6 days)

Ideal for first time visitors with limited time, this tour takes you to the very heart of India’s tourist circuit, popularly called the ‘Golden Triangle of India’. Reflecting its long and varied history, Delhi offers a wealth of sites including medieval Mughal buildings, labyrinthine bazaars and the Raj’s immaculate new city, now the seat of government. The Taj Mahal, arguably one of the most beautiful monuments in the world, stands majestically by the banks of the Yamuna River at Agra. Capital of the princely state of Rajasthan, the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur boasts several palaces and forts. Travel is by private car staying at an interesting mix of hotels including a period colonial hotel and a former royal mansion.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

You will arrive Delhi and met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel for next two nights. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the facilities offered by the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

The seat of power during the Mughal Empire and the British Raj, today the capital of modern India, Delhi comprises the bustling old city, teeming with people and bazaars, and Lutyen’s modern showpiece of New Delhi with wide tree-lined boulevards. In the morning you visit the sights of Old Delhi including Jama Masjid – the biggest mosque in India, the busy bazaars of Chandni Chowk (closed on Sunday), and Rajghat – the samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon you will visit the sights of New Delhi including Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and Lutyen’s buildings.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra

After breakfast, you will drive to Agra for an overnight stay. The afternoon sightseeing includes the Taj Mahal (closed on Friday), Agra Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.

Day 04: Agra – Jaipur

Today you will visit Fatehpur Sikri – the Mughal city established by Emperor Akbar which was abandoned after 14 years due to scarcity of water. Drive to to the “Pink City” of Jaipur, capital of Rajasthan or the “Land of Kings”. There is an option to stop en route at Bharatpur – famous for bird sanctuary. You will stay in Jaipur for next two nights.

Day 05: Jaipur

Today you will enjoy a full day’s sightseeing covering the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar Observatory, Sawai Man Singh Museum, and Amber Fort – with the possibility of ascending to the hilltop fort on elephant back.

Day 06: Return home

Today your tour of Golden Triangle ends. You can fly back home from Jaipur or we can drive you back to Delhi airport.
