Yangon – Bagan – Mandalay – Inle – Yangon (9 nights / 10 days)

Beginning in Yangon it visits the majestic Shwedagon Pagoda then travels up to Bagan with its thousands of stupas and pagodas. Then continue on to Mandalay – the ancient capital of Ava and finally ending at the vast Inle Lake. The accommodation is a mix of modern, character and traditional style hotels. The inland journey is a mix of car, plane and a boat.
You will arrive Yangon today and stay for next two nights. In the evening you can enjoy a walk through Chinatown and the fascinating Bogyoke Aung San Market.
Today you will enjoy a sightseeing of Yangon including the Gilded Sule Pagoda, the National Museum and the giant reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatyi. Time permitting, you will also visit the serene Kandawgyi Lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda.
A short flight will bring you to fascinating city of Bagan. You will spend next two nights in Bagan. It is home to thousands of Pagodas – mostly in ruins – testimony to glorious past of this city. You will visit the prominent pagodas like Shwezigon, Htilominlo, Ananda and Gubyaukgyi – famous for its mural paintings.
Today you will enjoy a full day excursion to Mount Popa which is home to Nat Spirits.
Another short flight will bring you to Mandalay – the cultural capital of Burma. You will spend next two nights in Mandalay. The sightseeing includes visit to the Golden Palace, the Kuthodaw Pagoda and the revered Mahamuni Pagoda to see the bronze image of Buddha covered in thick gold.
Today you will visit the Amarapura Monastery to witness monks going to breakfast, their only meal of the day. Later visit the U Bein’s teak bridge. Afterwards take a boat ride on the Ayeyarwaddy to visit the unfinished pagoda at Mingun. Time permitting, continue to the Sagaing hills for a scenic sunset.
Today fly to Heho and drive to Nyaung Shwe to take a ferry to Inle Lake. You will spend two nights on Inle Lake.
Inle Lake is famous for the unique leg rowers, the floating markets and the village life around. There is a time to visit more Pagodas like Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Pe Pagoda, popularly known as the Jumping Cat Monastery.
Fly back to Yangon for an overnight stay
You will be transferred to the airport to board your return flight home.
